Community Guidelines
MeetHive! is for finding a good night out and sharing it with the people who were there. These rules keep it safe and fun. They apply to everything you post (profiles, events, photos and videos, stories, comments, private messages) and to how you treat people, in the app and at events. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.
The rules
Child sexual exploitation or endangerment
Never. No sexual content involving anyone under 18, real or not; no grooming, sextortion or anything that sexualizes, exploits or endangers a child. See our child safety standards below.
Nudity or sexual content
No nudity, pornography or sexual acts, and no sexual services. Swimwear and party outfits are fine.
Violence or graphic content
No threats, no content that glorifies or incites violence, no gore, no self-harm content.
Hate speech
No attacks on people for their origin, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age. No Nazi symbols, slogans or glorification (illegal in Austria and Germany).
Harassment or bullying
No insults, humiliation, stalking, unwanted contact after someone said no (including messages), or encouraging others to do it.
Images or details of people without their consent
Ask before posting photos or videos of other people, and take them down if someone asks. Never post intimate images of anyone, and no personal details (address, phone number, documents) of others. If you are in a photo or video you didn't agree to, report it ("It's me, I didn't agree"): we act fast.
Dangerous activities or events
No events or content that put people at risk: selling or handing out drugs, weapons, drunk driving, events beyond a place's capacity or without the permits they need.
Illegal content
Nothing against the law: threats, defamation, sale of illegal goods, copyright infringement, terrorist content, and the rest.
Age rules
You must be 16 or older to use MeetHive!. Events with alcohol, and other adult events, must be marked 18+, and are closed to anyone under 18. Don't lie about your age.
Fake events or impersonation
No events that won't happen, no misleading descriptions, no pretending to be another person, brand or venue.
Spam or scams
No ads, no selling tickets or goods, no chain messages or repeated junk, no phishing or scams.
What happens when someone breaks the rules
- Automatic checks refuse texts with slurs or illegal terms and clearly explicit images; doubtful photos and videos are hidden until a moderator looks at them.
- Reports are reviewed by a person, normally within 24 hours. Serious ones hide the content at once until then.
- Content that breaks the rules is removed, and its author gets a strike: the first is a warning, the second pauses posting for 7 days, the third (within 12 months) suspends the account. Serious violations suspend the account at once.
- The author is told what was removed and why, and can appeal once, within 30 days. Whoever reported it is told the outcome.
- Illegal content is kept as evidence and reported to the authorities where the law requires it.
How to report
- In the app: ••• → Report on a profile, event, photo or video, story or comment; a long press on a message you received. Reports are private.
- Without an account, or for illegal content: our form for illegal content.
- You can also block anyone: you stop seeing each other everywhere in the app.
- In danger right now? Call 112 (EU) or 133 (police, Austria).
Child safety standards
MeetHive! (developer: Valerio Santucci) prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including grooming, sextortion, trafficking and any content that sexualizes minors.
- MeetHive! is for people aged 16 and over, and 18+ events are closed to minors.
- Images are checked automatically before they are posted, and anyone can report content or a person in the app ("Involves a minor"); such a report hides the content at once.
- We remove CSAM as soon as we know of it, suspend the account, keep the evidence securely and report it to the competent authorities (in Austria the Bundeskriminalamt and Stopline), as the law requires.
- We cooperate with law enforcement and follow the child safety laws that apply to us.
